COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned.
Charles Wells and Young’s merged in 2006. Young’s brand acquired solely by Charles Wells in 2011.
Brewed using the highest quality barley grown on UK assured farms. Golden in colour with a light, dry palate & a fresh, fruity aroma. Perfect with bangers & mash or roast beef.
Matured live in the bottle for a fresher taste. Can be enjoyed cloudy, but ideally pour slowly leaving the last few drops in the bottle with the yeast. For best results store upright & serve at 10-12°C.

From 50cl bottle. Pours fairly crisp intense gold, with medium foam (high in the beginning, but fading fast). Aroma is fruity, barnyard/hay, earthy. Body is medium, with medium carbonation (actually surprising for a bitter). A bit of a metallic feeling. In taste, low bitterness, some noticeable bitterness, of the traditional type (slightly herbaceous, terrain). Finish is relatively long, with lasting bitterness.

Bottle. Orangey gold in colour. Sweet fruity. Malty base (buttery caramel). Hoppy (grassy & earthy hops). Long dry bitter finish. OK bottled bitter. (2008)

Classic of the genre. Subtle but full of character - aniseed, soft pepper hops, dry palate. Not a beer that shouts but has plenty to say. (170 baht Villa Market)

Bottiglia.

Bottle at Erwin's Ponton. Might have been decent, by now it's plain horrible. Not bitter, not tasty.

From Hipercor Sevilla Este. In Ikea’s english pint glass. At dinner, with chicken steaks + fideos soup + magnum almendrado. Very drinkble. Smooth, with a plesant and balanced english bitterness and fresh hops. However, its still a style that lacks some punch for me
