Golden, slightly hazy colour. Medium, dense head. Hoppy, refreshing nose. Medium bodied. Refreshing, zesty hop-bitterness. A great summer-beer. omhper (25541) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 4, 2004
Bottled. Golden colour. Citrusy nose. Sweet, soapy and lemony with notes of licorice. Solid but bold maltiness, typical Young's style. Quite interesting. screwball (1099) - Motala, SWEDEN - MAR 3, 2004
A tasty beer with a light golden coloured body. Not so much head. Fruity tast and hazy. A refreshing beer! bierkoning (13598) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - MAR 3, 2004
Citrus and apple aroma. Citrusy, fairly hoppy flavor. Some vanilla. Just a bit dusty. The citrus and hops dominate. Dry hoppy aftertaste. I like it a lot. dirkbreedveld (289) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 1, 2004
light color, almost a belgian blond. Beatiful aroma's, and a very refreshing taste. There is a big difference in the beer with or without the yeastdepot.
I prefer to drink it without, because the aroma's were more in balance then.

Bottled, at the Dog & Bull, Croydon. larsniclas (7187) - Billdal, SWEDEN - FEB 14, 2004
Golden larger, shit colour. Sharp, dry and tannic. Fruity blond bubbles. Harps describes it as ‘half larger/half cider. Sour and gassy. Best kept in the bottle’.
Golden and a bit hazy. Short frothy head with a lot of bubbles.
A fresh citrus-aroma and flavour.
Rather lively at first. Medium bitterness. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 12, 2004
This Maris Otter aroma is news to me, I still don't know what to think of it. I find the aroma richly yeasty with big citrus notes. The flavour brings my thoughts to blood grape and then it finishes, not all pleasantly(gastric juice?), with a medium bitterness. Still, this brew in its entirety gets a decent mark for not being an average bore. rlgk (18852) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 7, 2004
Yellow, with an ok white head. Aroma is floral, a little sweet, but also with notes of citrus. Has a malty and sweet flavor, but the citrus comes back there as well. chriso (7586) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2004
This won the Tesco Beer Challenge in 2003. As others have said, looks like a lager, tastes like a bitter. Very pale straw colour, not a lot of yeast sediment - only became slightly hazy even with the lees sloshed in. Very flat (not a problem for me). Fruity citrus throughout - grapefruit, with flowery notes. Sharp, but not unpleasant finish - dry and clean. Aftertaste lingers. A very nice drinking beer. Bottled (500ml).
