Bottle picked up at Morrissons, Aylesbury 8th August 2006, and drank this in a field at Cropredy, Fairport Conventions Cropredy Festival Saturday 12th August. Mmmmhhhm.. I normally really like Youngs beers but this just wasn’t for me. Light golden colour touch hazy, some florally hoppy notes, but it was the taste for me that really suprised, it just tasted unbalanced, a sour bitterness that was unrelenting, some citrusy flavours, It was’nt off or anything just not right for me, could’nt wait to get onto something else.

Bottle: Poured a light golden color ale with a big foamy head with good retention. Aroma of sweet malt with a nice floral aspect. Taste is refreshing with some semi-sweet malt, subtle but noticeable floral hops and a dry finish. By no mean is this a great beer but it is refreshing enough on a hot summer day.

Hazy gold w/ thin loose head. Spicy citrus, yeast and sulphur aroma with a bit of cheese. Spicy, lightly sticky old hop flavor with some sweet malt. Spritzy finish with a little orange.

Bottle, 500ml. A light yellow colour, slightly cloudy. Average sized somewhat diminishing head. Initial aroma of dough, followed by fruit/cirtus. A hoppy, slightly malty and fruity taste with a moderate hoppy bitter finish. Light carbonation. Nice enough, but doesn’t stand out.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from Asda. Slightly funky and biscuity nose with a touch of citrus. Hazy golden body with little to no head. Unusual flavour. Yeasty with a touch of barley with a bit of a zing at the finish. Quite interesting. Better than I thought it would be.

larsga (7497) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 12, 2005
Medium, creamy, white head with larger bubbles over clear yellow body. Thin hop aroma. Taste of sourish malts with resiny hops and softly bitter aftertaste. Pine needles. Quite good, highly drinkable.
