Cask at the Dove Street Inn, Ipswich. Don’t recall seeing this on cask before so had to indulge even though had the bottled version many times. Poured black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of chocolate, malt, vanilla pod, touch of coffee and dark fruit. Medium plus sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight sticky texture, very soft carbonation. Finish is seeet and a little minty. Good stuff.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - rich creamy dark chocolate. Taste - roast and dark chocolate. Smoky liquorice note. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry crunchy finish. Overall - game of two halves. Creamy and sweet upfront then dry and crunchy on the finish.

uite thin nose of burnt malts and chocolate. Taste is milky chocolate and malts. Body is medium to thin. Simple and does the job.

On tap at Sir Williams pub Ljubljana. Black color with medium brown lasting head. Nice chocolate palate aroma. Little too light aroma for my taste. But easy to drink. More milk stout than regular stout.

klm1 (1501) - Bled/SF, - SEP 17, 2015
Dark brown colour with almost no head. Aroma without note of an alcohol, with hints of roasted malts, chocolate, and with some floral elements. Flavor is similar; without note of an alcohol, with sweet, but at the same time bitter notes: of sugar and dark chocolate. Finish is slightly bitter dry. Malt sweetness is medium, hop bitteness also. body is sticky, carbonation low.

Another beast on tap compared to the bottled one. That kind of "Guinness" appearance: black with the creamy type head. Strong aroma of dark chocolate that dominates the taste with a beautiful hoppy finish. A great stout!

In short: sweet coffee beer. Aroma: malts and coffee. Taste: medium sweet going to medium bitter. Palate: lasting oily biterness.

Wow.. I was so hyped up and ready to try this "Famous" stout.. wrong right from the pallet I had a HUGE malty/ Watery taste. Aroma wasn’t even nice. Maybe I got a bad batch I’m not sure I usually don’t give bad rates but wow...

Cask at the hogshead Edinburgh... This was an odd one... Deep black... Hugely sweet massive chocolate roast... 2 hakf pints were fine. But but seemed to go stale over the course if a pint ... not sure how i rated this twice
