Draft on nitro at Good-Ta-Go in Chambersburg, PA. Served in a pint glass, very dark brown with creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, bready and light coffee note. Taste adds notes of vanilla, caramel, more of a milk chocolate with slight hop bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation (nitro), creamy, rich, soft with roasty sweet finish. Very nice chocolate stout.

nice big brown head, very dark color, cloudy, tastes just like a mix of cocoa and dark chocolate. The bitterness from the hops tastes like freshly toasted cocoa beans.

This is another one I haven’t had in years, but have fond memories of. It pours a thick black with a nice foamy head that sticks around for a while. It came from a can with a little widget in it, which is always fun. It smells nice, but isn’t too pronounced, a bit of chocolate and a little coffee but smooth. It tastes thick and velvety and soft in the mouth with a robust cocoa flavor that reveals itself more as the beer warms up. It isn’t too sweet, more like a dark chocolate with some bitterness, but nice nonetheless. Overall, pretty good if you like chocolate and thick beers.

Bottle from systembolaget. Huge notes of chocolate, some coffee, toffee. Lovely, not too bitter or too sweet.

Pours black with a thin off white head. The head seems to have some staying power. The aroma is slightly chocolatey and I’m hoping it comes through stronger as it warms. The taste is creamy milk chocolate really good. Not as chocolatey as Southern Tiers Choklat but still good.

Pours dark, hazy colour with a medium head. Well-looking lacing. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt and some fruits in the end. In taste there are dark malts notes and a lot of chocolate. Some sourness and coffee in aftertaste. Medium body, low bitterness. Too high carbonation. Very creamy and smooth texture. Pretty good beer.
