Appearance: Opaque, nice espresso brown frothy head, moderately long leasting. Aroma: Believe it or not chocolate. Toasted pumpernickel bread too. Flavour: Vanilla, chocolate, bread pudding with dark chocolate chips. Mild bitterness from hops to balance the malt forward profile. Lovely. Mouthfeel: Not too full bodied considering it’s a stout. Smooth and creamy. Finish is reasonably quick but then about 20 seconds later comes a lovely choccy coffee aftertaste that lingers. Overall: Fantastic stout, suitable for any time of year but most welcome now we’re coming into winter!!

Dark brown colour with thin tanned head, aroma of dark chocolate , roasted malt and coffe, taste of dark chocolate , lightly sweet, hints of milk chocolate, good bitterness and fine bitter aftertaste. All in all, this is a good stout.

Drank 17-06-17 in Stockholm at Thierrys after the BBQ. A bit neutral but chocolate is definitely present. Not bad but also not very good.

Delicious Chocolate stout. Medium creamy head, with very little carbonation. Aroma/taste: predominantly dark/milk chocolate and roasted malts. Rich fully body flavor and not overly sweet. Especially good in the nitro can (if you can find it).

Zlotta (3188) - Hagen / Bonn, GERMANY - JUN 2, 2017
0.5 l bottle from ’Bier & Beer’, best before November 2017. Very dark brown to black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, hazelnut, mocca and vanilla. Slightly sweetish, malty, moderately roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, some hazelnut and hints of vanilla, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter, a bit earthy-dry finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice, but a bit too thin for my liking.

Black. Roasted barley and chocolate in the aroma. Lightly sweet taste with light chocolate flavour and a dry and moderately bitter finish. Medium body. Overall, a decent stout. Solid aroma. Only lightly full, it lacks sweetness and chocolate flavour. Samuel Smith’s Chocolate Stout is a much better choice.

3.3
DonGregorio (370) - POLAND - MAY 14, 2017
Bottle. Black colour, average tan head, ok duration and lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, roasted malts, dark bread. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter, chocolate, dark bread, cocoa, roasty. More roast and cocoa in aftertaste. Medium- body, average to lively carbonation, rather thin texture. Too thin and with too high carbonation, but flavourful. Decent stout.
