12 ounce bottle- poured out black with a nice stout head. Aroma was coffee, malt and sour. Thin bodied with mild flavors of black coffee and a bitter finish. Actually tasted more like a porter than a stout to me. Average.

Bottle from Morrisons, Birtley, Gateshead. Inky black with a thick tan head. It has a milk chocolate, vanilla and coffee flavour followed by an oaty, milk chocolate and roasted and red fruity finish. Very good.

Bottle. Small tan rim on an almost black body. Cocoa, dark chocolate, vanilla, nuts, some herbal hops. Medium sweetness, roasty medium bitterness. Medium body with a pearly carbonation. Adjuncts are not too organically integrated. Interesting.

Butelka 0.5l, Wygląd nienaganny, piwo prawie czarne, aromaty palone, z początku było czuć żelazo, smak kawowy. trochę czekolady, dużo paloności.

Pours deep black with tan head. Good lacing. Rich dark aroma of dark chocolate, a bit of vanilla and coffee too. Sweetness is pleasantly subtle, some bitterness balancing as well. Long complex finish which seems to juggle sweet, bitter and dry all at once. Medium bodied, above average carbonation. A delicious Stout, and a great dessert beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark, rich black with huge 3 finger head that lasts really well. Carbonation steadies as you drink but serves a laced shaker and a great palate that combines smooth and creamy layers but doesn't turn flat. Aroma is mocha and sweet nuts. Taste begins with big fizzy kick of espresso but gently turns to lactose sugars and sweetness as it travels to the back of the mouth. Finish is actually roasted malts and slight bitterness but after taste is all dark chocolate like the name suggests. Overall a fantastic stout that balances the indulgent flavours of a sweet stout with classic textures of real ale.

Pours black with a thin tan head. The nose foreshadows sweetness. Its full of rich chocolate, while having lesser coffee and roasted malt. The taste is bitter. Additionally and more importantly, it is also extremely sweet. Overpowering actually. It begins innocently enough with a light sweetness. But its like the sweetness never recedes and the sugar keeps piling on. Halfway through this and I’m ready to move on. Chocolate aftertaste. Light in body, creamy texture, and almost flat carbonation. This one will make your heart skip.

Jet black with a two finger tan head, long lasting lacing. Taste is of roasted malts, bitter hop taste but quite boozy. Bit of a chocolate hit in the aftertaste but it fails to penetrate the alcohol. Tried twice, first bottle years before seemed more chocolatey, perhaps I have a dud bottle second time.
