The aroma is sweet and malty. The color is a clear amber with an OK head. The flavor is flat, very malty, pretty sweet, and only slightly bitter. A very average ale.

fiulijn (21507) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 14, 2003
Light amber color. Quite nice hop aroma, a bit metallic. Poor and dry taste, some light caramel and malt. Some hop and honey at the end.

harrisoni (19535) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2009
Bottle at The New Wheatsheaf, Borough. Given it a good 30 mins to open up. Mid brown lasting beige head. Spicy aroma. Some malt, some hop, soe yeast all on aroma. Bit of pukie malt in mouth but the spicy hop finish is decent enough. Good hop sting. Bit of syrup for a 5% beer. Thought it was stronger. Had to decant it to get rid of some of the bottled gas. Some fresh raisin. OK.

Oakes (19370) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 3, 2001
Creamy head; slightly hazy; chewy, earthy nose. A fairly candyish, cloying sweetness really detracted from everything else that this beer was trying to accomplish.

rlgk (18843) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 19, 2004
Shiny golden, with no head. Aroma is rather weak and hard to define. A little thin, some malts, some hops, but really nothing special.

TBone (18552) - Pori, FINLAND - JUN 18, 2004
Bottled ((BB 06/2004)
Pale copper, lots of CO2. #Lliving" off-white head with big bubbles, mostly diminishing. Dry woody hoppy aroma. Quite hoppy flavor with notes of sugar. Too heavily carbonated mouthfeel. Short bitter aftertaste with toffee notes.
