COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special - October 2012.
Young’s brand taken over by Charles Wells in 2011.
In keeping with the great tradition of brewing quality real ales, Young’s have created their very own ‘Young’s Sundown Festival Ale’, specially brewed for the Festival of Beer and featuring a distinctively drinkable undertone of sweet caramel, offset by a pine hop aroma and a zingy citrus orange finish.

Cask conditioned at The King’s Arms, Oxford. Gold with slight head. Heavy toffee caramel flavour right from the start, malty, grainy, the citrus didn’t come through. This was advertised as a one off special, probably for the best.

On draught at The Lamb in Leadenhall Market, London, UK. Disappointing. Malty taste. Unable to detect hops at all. Overly sour orange finish. Clear amber colour. Minimal head. No aroma.
