Bottle-Poured amber with the tiniest of heads, malt flavor with some corn taste. No real aroma present. Still, it had more flavor than I expected--however, as the beer sat for a few minutes, the taste became less and less pleasant. nick76 (4404) - Tampa, Florida, USA - NOV 1, 2005
Not much here. The aroma is very weak with only a light sweet malty smell and somewhat stinky. The appearance is copper golden but hurt by the fizzy head that reminds me of soda pop. The flavor is not that great either. Some malt but mostly dominated by corn. Palate is thin. Overall this is not very good. Fantomas23 (463) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 24, 2005
Copper colored with a standard white lager head. Smelled skunky but drank smooth. Not much flavor here. Just a watered down version of the Traditional. DarkElf (3067) - La Jolla, California, USA - OCT 2, 2005
(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with hopdog, thanks Steve!) One of four Yuengling pale lagers, I’m not sure I understand the point of having the majority of your products being pale lagers. This one tastes dry and woody, and it’s like drinking liquid cardboard. And it smells like wet, moldy cardboard too. Light bodied, somewhat watery. Clear, medium golden color is pretty dark for a light beer, and is capped by an off-white head that pours small and quickly settles to a very tiny ring. Not very good, and only slightly more flavorful than the Yuengling Premium Light Beer. OhioDad (2492) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - SEP 26, 2005
12 oz bottle consumed in the condo at Myrtle Beach, SC. Pours amber with a somewhat creamy offwhite head. Aroma is haylike hops and light caramel malts. Taste is caramel malts, some corn.. Palate is fairly light and carbonated pretty well. Pretty much just like the lager except a tad less flavor. Not bad for a light beer though.

Light toasty malt nose. Sour with a very lightly toasted malt. A bit of lemon/malt in the finish. Blech. IMtheOptimator (1170) - Brookfield, Connecticut, USA - AUG 18, 2005
Poured an effervescent amber with a semi-creamy white head. Very faint citrusy aroma... nothing displeasant but barely discernible. Taste is heavy burnt corn... obviously from the extra 2 hours of cooking time used in making this beer. Unpleasant corny finish. Light body. blank (996) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 25, 2005
slighly more watery version of the original. It still does have favor and none of the cheap beer aftertaste. But still far weaker then the original DragonStout (1418) - Groveport, Ohio, USA - JUL 21, 2005

Great light beer. Now my light beer of choice! Taste very similar to Yuengling. Redlight Redlight’s got it.
