It poured a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma was of grassy hops and some husky grain. The taste was grassy and leafy hops with some grain and a little sweetness in the finish. Now I can say I tried it.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of ahab trade with TurboBoosters. I gained 0.6 pounds eating a goddamn fucken a brorrito so I figure I better sneak in a light beer tonight to lose some weight. Fairly clear, slightly dark orange appearance (though still lighter than normal Yuengling) with a tan head. A touch fruity, light grassy, herbal, toasted cracker aroma. Not too sweet. Lot of cracker and toast in the flavor. Pretty good body. Not a horrible low boost pale lager.

12 oz bottle from the four type sampler case. As with most light beers, this one had very little flavor or body. Recommended on as a calorie saver.

Bottle @ Galaxy Hut, Arlington, VA. Pours clear golden with very small white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops. Watery flavour with scanty notes of hops and a good deal of yeast. Cheap, estery aftertaste. Boring.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The label has no other info. Appearance: The body is a very clear golden yellow color with a tall white head on top from an aggressive pour. This head is loosely packed and fades out quickly leaving nothing behind. Smell: Its aroma is a basic mix of light cereal grain, hay and touch of hops. The hops have a grassy and slightly citrusy character. Taste/Palate: Following up on the aroma I get a light mix of dry cereal grain with a thin grassy and citrusy hop acidity and bitterness. This comes on a light palate with moderate fizzy carbonation. Notes: Overall its an average light beer with no real flaws for its style. Its light on everything and easy to drink.

In some ways, less is more. I find this more refreshing and agreeable than the regular lager. Nice clean carbonation. Grainy beer taste, but light. Still below average.

Mos notable characteristic of this one is the carbonation - this one is gaseous enough to levitate. Flavor is good but too muted.

I poured a 24oz can into a 1-liter mug. It was canned on June 3 and cost $1.81 ($0.08 per ounce).

Appearance: Beautiful amber color, crystal clear body with some carbonation visible. Forms a large, white, soapy head which eventually evaporates and leaves trace lacing on the glass.

Smell: Mild macro lager aroma of corn and grain. Nothing repugnant, though. Some sweet notes.

Taste: As much as craft beer nerds tend to dislike fizzy yellow lagers made by the macro breweries, we tend to dislike the light versions even more so. However, I think Ive found one worth drinking in Yuengling Light Lager. While the core taste is similar to others of the style, it doesnt have any of the overtly off-putting qualities as most. While its not exactly robust, there is flavor to be found here.

If you need a beer to differentiate between mild and flat-out bland, this would be a good example. Its difficult to describe any particular flavor characteristics, though there is some sweet honey or amber-style malt to be found here. It doesnt have the generic LAGER qualities you might except (or dread). Not much in the way of bitterness, though the palette certainly is clean and refreshing. I do notice a corny taste on the backend, but compared to the bigger boys light beers, its quite tame and easily tolerable. This is definitely one of the best macro adjunct light lagers on the mainstream market (second only to Sam Adams Light).

Drinkability: Light lagers are supposed to be highly quaffable and this beer definitely does that job well. The mouthfeel is thin, but not actually watery. The carbonation is consistently crisp, but its not spastically effervescent, which makes it easy to drink in big gulps. The clean finish makes it quite refreshing. Im not sure of the ABV, but it appears to be well under 4%, making it highly sessionable, especially in warmer weather.
