Bottle. Pale gold with a thin white head. Very light aroma, some malty hints. The flavor is sweeter malt, almost caramel but not quite.

Cans consumed on the bus. A smooth watery brew with little in the nose and even less in terms of flavor. Smooth biscuit and very light watery floral hops, but clean and pretty refreshing.

b3shine (8878) - Indiana, USA - JUN 19, 2012
Bottle (which defaults color rating to average). Smells extremely faint, but not offensive. Tastes okay...for a light beer. Average mouthfeel. Twas a tick...

drowland (8770) - Georgia, USA - AUG 14, 2009
Tried while visiting TN, as I could never get Yuengling in the midwest and everyone talks about it all the time. Not bad, but not great - typical light beer.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2009 Had from a variety case..This light lager is nothing special. However, Id much rather down a few nattys instead of this though - to save money.

Bottle. Better light beer than most of the other beers out there. Nothing special to note about it. Would rather drink Yuengling regular instead.

2.4
PorterPounder (7973) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - SEP 29, 2004
Light copper appearance - impressed - expected dark yellow - light , thin and quickly dissipating white head. Aroma of cinnamon, pepper and a faint wort-like esence. Flavor has some fresh lake water accents with a very faint trace of nuttiness that turns to metallic blandness. Aftertaste is a bit metalic and the mouthfeel is slighlty thin. Not the best effort from Yuengling.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 12, 2008
I had some hope for this one but alas it severely disappointed. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark amber color with a large white head. The aroma was sour and tangy malts - almost skunky. The flavor was sour, tangy, corny and a bit skunky. There was a long off aftertaste.

2.3
Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 30, 2010
Bottled. Poured clear, light amber with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up sweet toasted barley and a pinch of garbage water, with light fruit and earthy accents.. OK, but unsubstantial. The flavor found pale and bready malts at the core with a pinch of honey.. light, spicy fruit and floral bitterness on the edges.. finished quickly with a splash of honeyed malts and a dry graininess. Light-bodied and dry on the palate, balance was alright.. weak overall, but drinkable.

Can. Light amber pour with light head. Mild malt, sweet aromas. Not much to this flavor, amber malt, but better than the normal light beers.
