Pours a golden yellow with a nice white head. Aroma is a little yeasty with a touch of malt. This is a light beer yet bitter on the backend. Has a little hoppy bitterness and a tad bit of that green bottle skunkiness. To me, tastes like an old ale. Pretty good stuff. beerandbeyond (708) - ISRAEL - JUN 30, 2014
12oz bottle poured into a shaker glass.
Clear golden color with a medium white head.
Soft grassy nose, with faint malt and some grains. Some papery notes.
Plain light malt flavors, a bit metallic, lo-med bitterness, faint fruitiness, somewhat harsh.
Light body, not very pleasant but somehow drinkable. popkow (308) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 15, 2014
Straw golden color with a sharp dry flavor and a little bitter ending. Aroma of hay and a taste of slight skunk. McGarnigle (651) - Rochester, New York, USA - APR 27, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 24, 2014 Not a bad beer, definitely a step up from mass lagers (then again, it costs a bit more). Better than Yuengling’s lager. Good looker, but slightly over-fizzed, and has a whiff of skunk (green bottles). Not a hop bomb, but they’re present. Dry. pinkie (470) - New York, USA - MAR 15, 2014
This pours a light straw gold with a fat head of foam that fell slowly enough and left spots fo lace. Nose is faint. Hardly any nose at all until it warms a bit and then you have faint grain, a touch of sweetness and a bit of grass. A faint lemon shows up late. Body is thin and watery but is’ well carbonated and has a nice bite. The flavors are a bit husky and while they do not really excite they do fill up the palate. There is a touch of buttery diacetyl on the palate that keeps this from finishing crisp and dry and rather leaves a bit of slickness that lingers a bit before it dries out eventually. Also a hint of cooked vegetable, green beans int he aftertaste. The lemon has a bit of tartness and a spritzy like character on the palate.

It has a bit of pepper in the very last moments of the aftertaste and I like the lager much better. Also some sour in the aftertaste.
Pours golden, head disappears quickly, little lacing. Smell skunk and corn. Light earthy/floral hops on palate. Finishes dry with lingering musty taste. Not much here. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 25, 2014
Bottle @ home, courtesy of BoostIPA. Thanks! Pours a clear golden appearance with a disappearing white head. Skunky, herbal hoppy, grassy, a touch metallic aroma. Twangy, corny, metallic, skunky, cardboard flavor. Not good. ganache (5903) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 18, 2014
The 450th site rating for this one. Bottle, green glass with screw-cap, waited to find a place that would sell me a single because I sure wasn’t buying a six-pack. Clear yellow-gold. Nose is corny-sweet with just a hint of malt, no skunk but not exactly prancing and reveling in spirited freshness. Only lightly crisp, lightly bitter, with stale overtones and an almost ashen aftertaste. Hops are really herbals and substantially grassier than most I encounter. Light-medium body with a decent job of hiding alcohol, but there’s just a nastiness here that permeates every facet of flavor. So it sort of fails as a lawnmower beer. callmemickey (4543) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 17, 2014
Golden colored body, minimal head, no lacing. Skunky cereal and crackers, some citrus. Thin bodied, moderate carbonation, soft finish. jimski (49) - - JAN 16, 2014
Lord chesterfield's Ale is a straw colored light bodied ale. It has a hoppy aroma that starts dry and finishes slightly bitter.
