Bottle - Pours golden with a filmy white head. Nose is weird honey sweetness, grainy, grassy hay. Just very odd. Taste is real sweet and grainy, with a bit of soured malt. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated. 60minuteman (1682) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 15, 2013
Mild spice character, light citrus, hop backbone. A fun golden ale from Yuengling preferable to the lager generallee08 (772) - New York, USA - OCT 11, 2013
Presentation: It was poured from a green 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The label has no other info.
Appearance: It has a light golden amber body with good clarity and some visible carbonation. From the pour I got a light, just off white head of soapy big bubbles. This fades out quickly leaving just a thin lacy ring of foam around the edge of the glass.
Smell: The aroma is light and thin. I can only pick up a slight cereal and mild grain scent.
Taste/Palate: Its light bodied and simple like the aroma it has a thin cereal grain flavor with a very light touch of lemony citrus hops. These hops add a very light bitterness and acidity. Under all this there is a slight light-struck (skunk) presence.
Notes: This is a one and done for me. I am a fan of Yuengling but this was a bit of a let down for me.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear gold color with a two-finger white head. Light bodied, buttery taste. Fairly clean finish. One of their better beers, but nothing spectacular. Jesterdeal (1985) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Fresh at the brewery. Aroma of bubble gum, citrus, and floral. Pours golden with a carbonated but not sticky head. Taste is malty with corn, slight citrus and floral. Light mouthfeel. Not pleasant after the first taste.

12 oz - Looks and smells brilliant, but after that nothing. A bra full of kleenex. Kids, look it up. gripweed57 (2308) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - AUG 11, 2013
12 ounce bottle. Pale yellow gold color with lots of bubbles leading to a small fluffy white head. Sweet grainy malt aroma with faint citrus hops. Light sweet malt flavor has a crisp lemony twang. Rather thin bodied, yet refreshing. I remember this having a bit more hops a few years back. Some floral hops in aftertaste and finish. Fairly lightweight and lighter than their Amber Lager. Bottle into a goblet. Pours gold wit ha slight white head. Nice moderate lacing. Aroma is semi-skunky cereal with a bit of fruit. Taste is thin grain and over ripe fruits. A bit of hop bitterness. Nice and lightly crisp, easy drinking. ronaldtheriot (1919) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JUL 11, 2013
Yuengling Lord Chesterfield Ale has a thick, white head, and a clear, bubbly, golden appearance, with some lacing left behind. The aroma is of funky, lightly-toasted barley, with a background of hop essence. Taste is of light, pale malt, subtle fruit, and sweetness, with a fairly strong piney hop back flavor. Mouthfeel is light to medium and a bit slick, and Yuengling Lord Chesterfield Ale finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and ultra drinkable. Overall, for a mass-produced, popular-priced beer, this is excellent. RJT Eberndt (235) - - JUL 6, 2013
Very enjoyable . Nice amber color, great carbonation and a great finish. Very pleased.
