A yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is very sweet and spicy. The flavor is plainly sweet malty and the body thin. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 16, 2005
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pale golden filtered ale with a fine little head. Very refined hoppy nose and aroma. Must be quality hops in here somewhere. Very soft and mild mouthfeel with a good malty character and a discreet bitterness. Reminds me a bit of Kiwi Lager and Steinlager in my NZ-days. Bottle. Clear pale yellow color, white coca cola head. Aroma of cereal and ripe fruit. Taste is light summer fruit. Leighton (21074) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 17, 2010
Bottle. Not too shabby. Pours a light gold, slightly hazy, with a subtle white head. Nose of light malts and some spices. Flavor has mild sweetness, some zesty bite, some bitterness in the tail. There is some pine element in there. Crisp finish, some lingering maltiness. Medium body, medium carbonation. Drinkable. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 28, 2002
From America’s oldest brewery - another ’old school’ beer like the Natty Boh I had a couple months back, or the Ten Penny from my university days. Or even the Molson Old Stock from that old codger’s bar a few months back. Anyway, most of these are the same - golden, fairly bland but with a shade more hop than the ’best sellers’. Could be worse, but we have micros now and nostalgia only goes so far.

Pour was nasty and had chunks of dirty sediment. Aroma is barnyard grassy. Taste is grass and corn chips. Dry finish. Rated 12/8/2000 bhensonb (15077) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 15, 2010
Bottle from Half Time. Pours slightly hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is bready. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is mildly sweet, arguably bready, and grassily bitter. Not extreme in flavor, it is pleasant. Somewhere between a good kolsch and a good pils? Finishes more bitter than not. DSG (14685) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JAN 25, 2009
(11/10/08) Bottle at friends’ house in Philadelphia (thanks Jeff). Clear goldrn color with a medium white head. Aroma some malt, graininess, corn and notes of hops. Sweetish flavor with some malt, cereal notes and a slightly bitter and hoppy finish with astringent notes. Light-bodied. Drinkable but not good. Very Pale-Lager-like.
