Everybody doesn’t know how to make a good Oktoberfest brew. Yuengling is one of those that doesn’t. obguthr (6653) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - NOV 1, 2014
Mild grass, dried leaves. Crystal clear amber, thin head. Honey, malt, some fusel alcohol. Frothy. Meh. jackl (8417) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 1, 2014
Bottle pour @ the 21st Richmond Gathering. Light amber with a small head. Some cardboard and apples. Caramel. Knackered malts. Taste is pretty rough. Sickly apple. Spent grain. Junk bread. Sort of harsh toastiness. Just tastes artificial and past its best. Light body, very active carbonation. Not good. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - NOV 1, 2014
Light clear amber, slight head. Slightly wet cardboard aroma. Flavor very, very lightly of toaty malt. Not an utter disaster, but not exactly good either. Very light bodied.

Bottle @ RG 21. Caramel color with no real head. Smells like grappa to me and bread. A little heavy, a little sour. Hard mouthfeel. rosenbergh (11793) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 23, 2014
12 oz bottle. (Bavarian Bottle Shop) Helen, GA.GJF (1520) - Mount Vernon, Iowa, USA - OCT 22, 2014
Clear amber colour with a small light tan head.
Sweetness, caramel malt and some mild hops in the aroma.
The flavour is dry malt and some hops. Quite drinkable but utterly useless.
Not a bad version of the style. Good clean malt backbone. Clean flavors. Decent Marzen. Jow (4082) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 18, 2014
Bottle at inlaws. Pours orange with fine enough head. Light nose of caramel and hop. Tastes of caramel, bread, metal, earth, and some hopping. Watery palate. freekyp (2408) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - OCT 17, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 5, 2014 People are going to knock this brew for being a Yuengling but truthfully, its a darn decent marzen interpretation, showing requisite malty toasty notes with dialed back hops, just enough to balance. A sporting 2 finger head is nice and rocky, but short lived. Aroma is on the weak side with a bit of malt and perhaps some noble twang. On the lighter side in terms of body, but still within style guidelines. Not great but far from bad.
