2012 Flour City Brewers’ Fest. Poured dark amber with off-white head. Aroma is toffee sweetness, roasty malt, and cereal. Taste brings out some grassy hops. Body is pretty light yet creamy. Maybe not the best marzen but pretty good for a macro. Butters (4176) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 2, 2012
Shared with kristen down at the beach. Pours a clear amber copper with fair off white head that fades quickly. Caramel and toastiness, but also a distinct metallic twinge that took away from the overall experience. Sam adams octoberfest this is not. But not aweful. Quite malty and great to dirnk as many Yuenglings, my shameful secret. MArzenish and very thick for these type. BelgianBeerGal (4156) - Panama City, Florida, USA - SEP 12, 2013
Bottle at Tank’s with Moose. Honestly, not a bad festbier at a all. Maybe a little heavier body than is typical but pretty tasty. Not a bad choice. weihenweizen (4127) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours clear light amber with finger width off-white head. Little lacing, light carbonation, thin body, and caramel grain aroma. Taste is caramel grain, corn, a hint of an off taste, and some crisp hops. Below average even for an octoberfest.

Bottle at inlaws. Pours orange with fine enough head. Light nose of caramel and hop. Tastes of caramel, bread, metal, earth, and some hopping. Watery palate. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - APR 18, 2014
(bottle - 12 oz) Clear orange pour with a thin tan head. Sweet malty aroma with some caramel. Sweet malty flavor with some caramel and dry bitter malts. Can’t get too excited about it. alobar (3914) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 21, 2014
Clear copper color with aroma of caramel and toasted malt. Caramel and toasted malt flavor. Not great. Not bad. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - NOV 1, 2014
Light clear amber, slight head. Slightly wet cardboard aroma. Flavor very, very lightly of toaty malt. Not an utter disaster, but not exactly good either. Very light bodied. reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 26, 2012
Pours a clear dark amber...like maple syrup...with a medium tan head. Aroma is a bit muddled between dry leaves and a skunky/cheap hoppiness...kind of smells like chemical and vomit. Flavor recovers a bit with light caramel and dry leaves...light earthy bitterness. Mouthfeel medium/full with a dry, earthy finish.
