Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 16, 2005
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Golden, filtered, weak head. A slight touch of hops on the nose, high carbonation and then....nothing. Water is the most prominent flavoural impression with a bit of corn. Thin, thin, thin.

Bottle from Piers at Catford BF 06. Crystal clear gold, no head. Corn aroma. Fizzy, sweet, please don’t make me drink any more of this.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2007 Golden-straw colour. Big bubbles and no head...yuck. To use the most oblique reference possible, this beer’s grainy, fuselly, appley nose is everything I remember and disliked about the smell of Kokanee back in high school. Taste’s about as bad...it’s bland as far as the hops go, but the graininess overtakes any malt character that might be there. Wateriness counteracts high alcohols and acetaldehyde. That would be poor construction, no better than the way McDonald’s uses salt and lard to cover up the cardboard character of their burgers.

Bottle. Poured clear light golden color with a medium frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate balanced sweet aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with an average beer.

Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 6, 2012
Quart bottle from Al’s of Hampden. Pours a clear golden color with a large frothy off-white head that quickly fades. Aroma of grainy malts, very faint toasted notes and a bif of grass. The taste is sweet, grainy malts with faint grassy and fruity hops. Medium bodied.

Typical american lager, no hops , clean tasting, probably uses adjuncts, rather innocuous..

crossovert (14128) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 12, 2011
12 oz bottle. It pours a pale gold with a short lived fizzy head that doesn’t leave any lacing. Usually the one thing macros get right is the appearance, not this one. The smell is pretty bad even for macro standards, old sock, corn vomit, cardboard, and rotten fruit round out the smells. The flavor is also incredibly weak. It is sour with a nasty corn note, some water, and a slight bit of hops. Watery mouthfeel, bad aftertaste. This beer sucks.

"a little too high and tight with the carbonation...otherwise passable for the style. nothing special - some light grassy hops and a splash of sweet malt, but the body is eh."

hopdog (13191) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 26, 2004
Poured a light golden color with an averaged sized head. Nothing special (their Lager is better). I was at my wife’s work party tonight and the host’s husband insisted I have a good beer - the choice was Corona or this - I’d take this over Corona any day...

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2005 12 oz can-Pours a pale gold, with a nice white head. Taste is nice and crisp. Good level of carbonation. Overall a nice pale beer.
