(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with hopdog, thanks Steve!) Typical light beer, with a woody, cardboard flavor and nose, and minimal sweetness, but there is a slight hop bitterness, but ever so slight, and only because the malt is so weak. Also typical is the quickly diminishing flavor as it drops off a cliff, leading to a very quick and flavorless finish. Light bodied, pretty watery. Medium straw body is crystal clear. The small, white head fades to a patchy film. Why would anyone drink this? Filtered water has no calories and tastes better. Ron (3920) - Rochester, New York, USA - AUG 23, 2005
One bottle from BOTW. Seemed like the usual watered down Lager so that it could be called light. Had that distinctively unplesent light beer aftertaste that I can not yet describe. IMtheOptimator (1167) - Brookfield, Connecticut, USA - AUG 18, 2005
Poured an effervescent yellow with a semi-creamy white head. Citrusy hop aroma... surprisingly good for the style. Taste is mostly that of burnt corn with a distasteful finish. Seems to be missing a lot of the citrus tones and refreshing nature of the regular Premium beer. Nejhleader (1550) - Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 6, 2005
wasn’t as bad as i thought it would be. pretty smooth wasn’t too thin or watery. didn’t have the same taste as most macro light beers. Basically tasted like a really week pale lager. JFURYCAT (1078) - East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 6, 2005
This is a good beer to sober up with as its very watery except for a lightly woodsy malty flavor which reminds me of what a twig would taste like if it could be fermented and heavily watered down.

Good light beer, drank cold from my pilsner glass and enjoyed outside with pizza. Light citrus aroma and flavor. stegosaurus (1882) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 24, 2005
not bad for a light beer, im not to much of a fan for light beer, but its drinkable, and for a light beer still tastes like beer. MolsonMan (58) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 26, 2005
Had this beer ice cokl straight from the bottle. Very unimpressed. Could have mistaken this beer for ice wat. No aroma and bland. dirtyc (173) - Erie, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 20, 2005
I don’t know why it took me this long to have Yuengling Light, but I finally did and it has great taste for being light, I will always love Yuengling, best out of a bottle jgb9348 (6194) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JAN 1, 2005
Crystal clear blonde golden coloured body with a nice white head that seems to last for a bit. Good for a light beer, but still doesn’t match with the Sam Adams light appearance. Aroma of pale malt, very low amounts of hops, some cardboard and an actually very nice smelling orange/citrus twang. Super-light-bodied; Tastes similar to water, with no horrible metal, malt, stale hops or any other off-flavours. Aftertaste shows a very light amount of malt, and some of the citrus sugars, but nothing else. Very non-offensive and mild. A good light beer-especially for what people want, a mild and alcoholic water. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle given to me by my brother-in-law who pulled this one from a 12 pack sampler on 01-January-2005.
