Poured a pale gold color with an almost nonexistent head. Light, thin aroma with a hint of hops. Taste is typical of a light beer ... better than most macros, but still a light beer and thin in taste. rabuc (143) - carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 15, 2004
sampled from bottle and looked like typical macro-brew. when i tasted this beer it had a cheap manufactured flavor. not an impressive beer. zach8270 (4022) - Henrietta, New York, USA - DEC 30, 2003
UPDATED: DEC 12, 2008 [bottle] Pale gold color reminiscent of nearly every other light beer I have tried. Not much of an aroma and a very watery taste. Good carbonation and a slightly sweet taste. I will stick with the lager though. Frank (4172) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 26, 2003
Headless, pale golden. Nose is slightly sweet with a hint of toffee. A bit of diacetyl unpleasantness. Light to medium bodied with brisk carbonation. More flavorful than many light beers but still not very good. haddon90 (1634) - Newport Beach, California, USA - DEC 22, 2003
Light copper color with hardly any head at all. Super Light. Some malt and hop characeristics in the flavor and taste. Smooth and watered down. Overall not bad.

Fizzy gold, aroma of very light floral hops and perhpas a touch of corn. Strange, rather full mouthfeel, what did they add to give it this much body? Still a faint bit of corn, but I really can't complain about the spicy floral hops that came along gently on the finish. Not too bad for a light. UPDATED: JAN 15, 2004 Probably the best light beer made, one of them anyways. Taste is crystal clear, with no cereal/grainy taste. Has a bit of a sour malt taste to go along with it, on the finish. Clean and crisp and what a light beer should be. Aurelius (5294) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 21, 2003
This is a very servicable lite beer. Parched malt aroma. A smidge tart. A hop or two. Fizzy. Lame appearance marks, but this is better than your average macro light. Better since Yuengling started putting stuff in a brown bottle, rather than green here in FL. beastdog75 (364) - Brick, New Jersey, USA - MAR 18, 2003
The smell reminded me of Lone Star, and it was almost as watery as Coors Light. Although I am not a fan of light beers, I prefer the Yuengling Light Lager (the light version of Yuengling Traditional) over this stuff. PorterPounder (7896) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 10, 2003
Better than your average macro light - bit of hoppiness to it. Cheap beer aroma, little to no head. If I need to drink a light though - this is not a bad choice.
