Bottle. Pours orange brown with an off white head. Aroma is banana, clove, yeast. Flavor follows nose, plus wheat bread. Sweet up front, but the spicy yeast character dries out the finish. Onslow (1512) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - SEP 12, 2014
Pour from a 12oz bottle. Hazy amber brew with creamy white head. Nice aroma of banana and bubblegum. Taste is tart and wheaty at first with a finish with banana, yeast, fruit. Tasty Strangebrewer (1326) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 9, 2014

Not a German hefe....pours a clear amber and smells sweet and strong...the flavor is sweet, almost too sweet but with a crisp aftertaste

Pours golden with a slightly amber cast against a slight haze. Very nice head and lacing retention is good. Very good nose of banana, clove and bubblegum. Light medium body with a smooth texture. Normal carbonation, with a touch of effervescence on the finish. Quite nice flavor profile that is well balanced with typical Weizen complexity. Banana leads then flows into a slight clove spiciness over a light biscuit. The finish is crisp and leaves you with a lingering banana/clove aftertaste over a hint of hops. While not as intense as Allagash White, for the price point, this one is world class. Great job Yuengling and congrats on the Gold. jredmond (8441) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 1, 2014
Bottle at max’s home. Pours a light golden body. Aroma is light malt, wheat and grain - but super faint overall. Bland. Mouthfeel is thin and over carbonated like soda. Light bodied, kinda boring and bland. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - AUG 27, 2014
Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Hazy amber pour with a small white head. I was surprised to smell some clove in the nose along with light wheat notes. Soft on the palate with gentle carbonation. Nice yeast and wheat notes with a hint of clove and banana. The finish wasn’t as crisp as I was hoping, but this is certainly better than middle of the road. 12 oz. Bottle purchased at Julio’s Liquors. The yeast has a authentic German feel. Light banana and pale malts. The flavor and aroma are a damn near mirror image.
Body has a solid amount of pale grain, honey with banana bready flavors. Body is way lighter than a true German Hefe but it does display the nice yeast characteristics that the style should have. Very easy to drink if you love the style. Funny, I wish I had bought a few bottles instead of just one. It is an easy drinking warm weather brew.
