COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hallertau hops and Bavarian-style top-fermenting yeast deliver a thick, creamy head with overtones of banana and clove esters. This authentic German weizen style beer, with a slight hazy appearance, concludes with a crisp finish.

Light on taste. Moderately pronounced banana flavor with a clove essence. Good color. Good clarity. Very little laceing. The head doesnt stand up as much as the other styles. Still, its somewhat dry with a wheat aftertaste. Good thing its not overly sweet. That would certainly ruin the mouthfeel.

12 ounce bottle into weizen glass, bottled on 4/22/2016. Pours very hazy golden yellow/orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, orange, banana, bubblegum, clove, white pepper, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of fruity/earthy yeast and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, banana, bubblegum, clove, white pepper, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, banana, bubblegum, clove, white pepper, wheat, biscuit dough, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Minimal dryness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/grainy mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very nice hefeweizen. All around nice robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast and bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful for the ABV, with an impressive mouthfeel as well. A very enjoyable offering.

bottled - aroma and flavor of banana and cloves. Cloudy yellow/golden color. A good summer beer. Deducting a point for their anti-union stance though.

Sent the Missus out for a case of beer for an end of summer pool party. Yuengling Summer Wheat was ladys choice. Golden medium bodied hazy wheat. Aromas of banana, sweet citrus lemony flavors. Perfect beer for chilling in a Tommy Bahama chair on a hot afternoon.

Bottle from Walhole. Pours perhaps slightly darker than their lager... a light-medium amber. Baby head. Aroma of super glue fumes, grass, caramel. Flavor of light ripe banana, tiny bit of spice, not much else. Its actually not bad, just not much to it.

Draft at The Irish Pol. Cloudy orange pour with white foam. Messy lace. A spoonful of Tang in a wheat beer. Navel oranges. Peach bananas. Creamsickle. Phenol nose. Just enough hops to bring in some bitterness. Somewhat juicy. Not awful but not great. Still betters many other standard Hefeweizens.

Definely tasted like a Hefeweizen with banana notes, though not as complex as most. Still a nice pleasant simple summer ale, good for the price I guess.

Pours a cloudy/hazy yellow golden color with white head. Bananas, cloves, and wheat on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with much of the same. Solid hefeweizen, I was surprised by this one, pretty good.

Tap at Renaissance in Foxboro. Hazy yellow pour with a big foamy white head. Nice aroma of clove and wheat. Taste is more muted, palate might be a little watery, but not bad.

Its OK. I bit too phenolic for my tastes, the clove is strong, banana is there too. Lacks the spritely character of better examples. And if you just want to swig out of the bottle in summer heat, its weird, be better off with a lager.
