Nice, deep amber color and foam that sticks to the glass. Can be skunky at times, but tastes very good and malty--without too much carbonation found in other macro-swills.Aroma is of malt and corn adjuncts. This is overall a good everyday, cheap session beer--it's good for what it is and that's all. My cheap everyday beer of choice. fasteddieIX (55) - Rochester, New York, USA - JAN 31, 2004
It looks tasty, but unfortunately, that's about all this one has going for it. Taste is reminiscent of grapefruit juice.. you figure it out. In my opinion, highly overrated. hershiser2 (3825) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JAN 31, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2005 Yuengling= the best cheap beer out there. Plain, simple, but very drinkable. Amber in color, small head. Aroma is sweetly hopped, mixed with malts. Flavor is plain, but crisp and drinkable. Alcoholist (570) - Peoria, Illinois, USA - JAN 25, 2004
Amber color, crystal clear small head. Nose is weakly malty, body is thin flavor is boring. SubstanceT (1092) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 23, 2004
Clear red amber colour with no head, malty sweet in the nose but that funk lager flavour I just dont like.

America's Oldest Brewery? Hmm. Stinker. Amber color with weak white head. Grainy, grassy aroma. Thin body and a watery, skunky taste. Totally forgetable. DerBiermeister (586) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JAN 21, 2004
Hands down the best American beer I've had and my favourite. It has a complexity in its palate that only deepens with familiarity and nostalgia and will not most likely be fully appreciated or experienced with the first try. Yuengling is a classic and one of my favourite beers from the world over - not just America. mikepapabacon (1) - APO AE, New York, USA - JAN 20, 2004 does not count
Great beer for the price. Its a shame you cant get this beer out of the PA/NJ region Jine (903) - Nutley, New Jersey, USA - JAN 19, 2004
In the Pennsylvania and New Jersey area, can't be beat for price vs quality. The beer I usually drink when out at bars. fraternie (1030) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 18, 2004
Nice amber colored body, darker than your normal macro lager. Some caramel and hops in the aroma. Light bodied and lacking flavor overall, but some notes of caramel and a subtle malt nose gets this one more points than Bud.
