This is the stuff that got me drinking beer on a regular basis. This is probably the best domestic lagerI've had in my limited beer tasting experience. smooth taste. Not watery or too carbonated at all. The official beer of PSU, and for a good damn reason. People THIS IS A REAL PA BEER!! Bodomite (34) - USA - MAR 12, 2004
For some reason this brew reminded me alot of Killians Irish Red. Amber color doesnt have a very malty taste. very mild taste not too strong and not too weak. Overall an pretty good brew. Misformore (34) - Colorado, USA - OCT 19, 2005
Pretty good, I’d buy some more and you should too. Oldest brewery in America, gotta count for something Rumpleganjskin (34) - USA - JAN 4, 2008
Americas Oldest Brewery. Good clean flavor with decent head. Slightly sweet and crisp. Much better than anything else in its price range and availability. A great beer to have on hand. otismulligan (34) - Yardley, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 13, 2008
In PA we just ask for "lager" and most bars, Especisally @ state college will know what you want. I"m kinda surprised it is that popular, but it always better to support the "little guys". Anywaym not a bad tasting lager. Great flavor compared to the other American lagers. Smooth aftertaste. However, The colder the better!

classic brown or amber color with minimal head that dissolves quickly. not much aroma but not bad aroma when it is there. fairly clean palate after drinking. taste is great, least favorite is bottle, cans much better. has a bitter roasted taste that finishes smoothly. great everyday beer. jhatlestad (34) - Maple Grove, Minnesota, USA - MAY 29, 2012
Not much aroma, slightly amber color. Sweet malt hits the mouth with light hops. A good traditional lager. jagerphish99 (33) - USA - FEB 17, 2002
its on every beer tap around this area. its a nice regular lager............ ludi (32) - Reston, Virginia, USA - JUN 13, 2002
A solid value. Decent malty lager for little more than the budget brews. Surprisingly satisfying and rewarding. Also, economical and readily available which is a plus. dthmtldgn (32) - barrington, New Jersey, USA - JUL 23, 2004
very easy beer, this is the very stuff i grew up on. better on tap, but also is easy for non beer drinkers to handle, therefore giving it the moniker of my areas "party beer"
