Straight from the bottle at a Charleston, SC, bar, because they had nothing else. Why did we pick this bar? Light malt and maybe some hops. Not much else.

On tap at Taco Mac during epic free shirt quest. I didn’t expect much from this, but I had to drink something and this one came with a nice free lager glass. Pours ultra clear amber with a small off-white head. Weak aroma of banana and corn. Tastes like this plus bready malts. Drinkable without a whole lot of bitterness in the taste or finish. UPDATED: JUL 1, 2010 Previous tastings from several years back. I remember this to be nothing special though it is a step up from some of the other more common low cost swill beers.
6/10 - Had another bottle. My memory was accurate. Nothing Special. Rustyham (1836) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - AUG 8, 2009
Surprisingly good- chewy and malty, Like a lite Amber Ale. I will buy this more often, for sure. Kind of makes you proud of America’s accomplishments in the beer world. Bottle at Whole Foods, Miami Beach. duffman462 (175) - Gainesville, Florida, USA - DEC 4, 2009
In the world of the blind, as they say, the one-eyed man is king. For me, Yuengling is the one-eyed man of macro-crap lagers. I enjoy it, although it does suck. Foamy, thin, just a bit sweet, but somehow it makes for a good night of cheap drinking.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2010 Bottle and draft. Pours a nice amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is minimal: fruity, a bit sour/skunky, some mild malt. Flavor is mildly fruity and sour, mildly hoppy in the finish. About the best macro around, for what that’s worth. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - APR 14, 2010
Can while playing a round of golf. Have no idea what it looked like so I will go average on that. Taste was a tad better than the big 3 macros. Just nothing special here at all. MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 8, 2010
Draught. Clear amber colour. Very small white head. The flavour is a bit watery, low to medium bitterness. Slightly maltier than a pale lager, but not much more flavourful. DuffMan (10436) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 28, 2011
Clear bright amber, average white head with poor retention. Light grainy aroma. Watery light grainy palate with hints of caramel and metal. Pretty blah. woodychevy (874) - - MAR 19, 2011
Really nice amber color. Kind of refreshing. That is about all the good I have to say about this beer. Skunky aroma and the taste is kind of "off". Lager is not my favorite anyway, but at it’s best (Creemore Springs) it’s crisp, clean and the right tastes stand out. This may be the best of the macro breweries, but kind of pales in comparison to anything craft-like.
