When it’s quitting time around the brewery the team can often be caught snagging a pint of this British style malt forward IPA. We call it Fog-O’clock and it’s becoming a bit of a Yukon trend! Unlike the hundreds of other IPA’s out there, we’re not going for the “hip and hop” award with this brew, going over the top with bitterness. It’s a session beer for folks who appreciate an IPA with balance.

Tasting with Alex, Brian and George (thx, Brian!). Small can. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma and taste are malty, fruity. Moderate hoppy bitterness. Not bad.

355ml can @ Sergiy’s. Pours a llght rusty clear brown colour. Nose of bread, wet newspapers, and a light pine note. Flavour is really light, a mild slightly hoppy and malty beverage. I guess this is what its supposed to be as, just nothing of interest for my palate.

Bottle. Golden pour, slight orange hue. Small white head if poured fast. Faint citrus aroma, more grainy malt. Taste is a touch sweet, with a moderate but harsh bitter finish. while the hops are present didn’t find them to be well defined in flavour or aroma.

From a 12 oz bottle purchased at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Aroma of caramel and pine. Flavors of grass and citrus. Bitter finish.

Poured from a bottle. Clear golden color, medium white head. Light floral hops aroma. Medium body with a sweet hops flavor and a sweet finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not necessary as bad as all the rating. The thing is it just isn’t quite an IPA. More of an EPA. Pours dark golden with ok head. Light bitter finish. Some perfume/potpourri. Easy drinking. Bottle from Manitoba Liquor mart.

Bottle. Clear golden pour without much head. Not a lot going on here in terms of aroma or flavour - pretty thin and light, some slight citrus notes, a little herbal and grassy maybe, slightly metallic. A little on the sweet side, but only because there is very little bitterness. Not exactly terrible, but by no means an IPA.

One of my favourites from Yukon Brewing. Easy drinking IPA with some flavour. One of the best in their line.

manuelMTL (240) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 4, 2015
Pours a clear golden with a thin, persisting white head. Nose is citrussy with some malty sweetness. Not very intense. In the mouth it?s caramel malts with some citrus hop flavours. Medium pine bitterness. Light body, easy to drink. Medium carbonation. Could be more hoppy.

Luvystypotables (2067) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - DEC 23, 2014
Aroma of hops with pine and malt undertones. Clear gold color with a short white well laced head. Mild bland taste with just a hint of hops. Creamy feel with a watery malt finish.
