3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep yellow color with a very small, dense white head. Aroma has a mild grassy presence with some light orange citrus and a modest grainy malt presence. Flavor is good but there is a bit of a skunk to it my opinion. Malt is a bit more of a presence than you typically see in an IPA. Body is light and pretty fizzy with some light dryness and a great lacing left on the glass. Overall a decent brew and I understand where the brewer was going. Not a lot of weakness but lacks some of the "umph" to make it an IPA and less of a Pale Ale.
Tasting with Alex, Brian and George (thx, Brian!). Small can. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma and taste are malty, fruity. Moderate hoppy bitterness. Not bad. fiery1 (1793) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 8, 2017
355ml can @ Sergiy’s. Pours a llght rusty clear brown colour. Nose of bread, wet newspapers, and a light pine note. Flavour is really light, a mild slightly hoppy and malty beverage. I guess this is what its supposed to be as, just nothing of interest for my palate. RhetoricalAns (973) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 29, 2016
Bottle. Golden pour, slight orange hue. Small white head if poured fast. Faint citrus aroma, more grainy malt. Taste is a touch sweet, with a moderate but harsh bitter finish. while the hops are present didn’t find them to be well defined in flavour or aroma. Not necessary as bad as all the rating. The thing is it just isn’t quite an IPA. More of an EPA. Pours dark golden with ok head. Light bitter finish. Some perfume/potpourri. Easy drinking. Bottle from Manitoba Liquor mart. ljthiessen (1507) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - SEP 14, 2015
Bottle. Clear golden pour without much head. Not a lot going on here in terms of aroma or flavour - pretty thin and light, some slight citrus notes, a little herbal and grassy maybe, slightly metallic. A little on the sweet side, but only because there is very little bitterness. Not exactly terrible, but by no means an IPA. CRock (273) - Ontario, CANADA - SEP 11, 2015
One of my favourites from Yukon Brewing. Easy drinking IPA with some flavour. One of the best in their line. manuelMTL (240) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 4, 2015
Pours a clear golden with a thin, persisting white head. Nose is citrussy with some malty sweetness. Not very intense. In the mouth it?s caramel malts with some citrus hop flavours. Medium pine bitterness. Light body, easy to drink. Medium carbonation. Could be more hoppy. Luvystypotables (2099) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - DEC 23, 2014
Aroma of hops with pine and malt undertones. Clear gold color with a short white well laced head. Mild bland taste with just a hint of hops. Creamy feel with a watery malt finish.
