Bottled sample. Coffee nose with hints of toffee. Dark black hue with small and quickly dissipating head. Very malty flavour with coffee and notes of toffee and maybe nuts. Syrups texture with some sweetness in the finish. Superb.
Some roast and a lot of caramel like Snickers. Pours dark brown with decent head and lacing. Tangy finish. Bottle taste at Little Guys. MissAnthropic (68) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 17, 2016
Oily black pour. Creamy and nutty nose with a lovely explosion of dark chocolate and toffee as soon as it hits your lips. The palate is sticky and lingering. Really good stuff. BlackHaddock (7232) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2016
Cheers duffman for this and a host of other Canadian goodies you sent to minutemat. 341 ml bottle shared with Mat on 4th Aug 2016. Brown pour, with a ruby red hue: wispy beige head. Malts rule the roost here with semi-sweet caramel flavours coming through loud and clear. Really enjoyed this, one of the best beers on our little tasting session: my sweet tooth loving the brew straight away. minutemat (5395) - Shrewsbury, Shropshire, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2016
341ml bottle, shared with blackhaddock in his man cave. Many thanks to Duffman for this. Pours deep mahogany, tan head. Aroma is caramel malt. Taste is smooth deep caramel flavours, some dark fruit shading, a hint of leather. Lovely warming moreish character. a_sully (457) - - JUL 24, 2016

From a 12 oz bottle purchased at the brewery. Pours a clear cola brown with an ecru head. Aroma of dusty leather. Flavors of raisins. Boozy finish. ljthiessen (1322) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 10, 2015
Bottle. Dark brown pour with a ruby hue and a thick off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, dark fruit and coffee; some dark cherry and plum notes, raisin, roasty cocoa and coffee. Flavour is sweet dark fruit with some roasty bitterness. A little too sweet perhaps, but very flavourful and a really nice malty English ale. cmacklin (1123) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 2, 2015
341ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with a ruby hue and a medium to large, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel and dried fruit. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, dried fruit and light spices with a mildly bitter, warming alcohol finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Quite porter like. Pretty good. DeanF (2453) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 9, 2015
Bottle at the Explorer hotel in Yellowknife. Has a nice soft malt aroma. Appearance is small head with dark velvet-brown body. Flavour is nice heavy barley-coffee with a hint of syrupy sweetness. Has a nice oily mouthfeel which makes it quite heavy on the palette. It’s a pretty good darker ale and paired well with the elk steak I had that evening. Nice one from Yukon! Not normally a fan of Porters but this one was different enough to be enjoyable. Had a nice roasted malt flavour with a smooth drinkability.
