Bottle shared with my brother in-law. Pours an opaque colour, light tan head that dies to a ring, some minor flecks of lace. Nose is strong coffee flavour, a little sweet malt, coffee is really dominant. Tastes sweet, coffee bitter, quite rich coffee flavour. Beardbeerman (341) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 4, 2015
Pours an opaque black robe topped by a finger or so of moka head. The nose delivers tons of roasted coffee beans and burnt toasts paired with strong dark chocolate, challenging an imperial russian stout. The taste is bold and coarse with strong coffee, bitter dark chocolate and nutty features in the back. This is a hearty stout with the flavour profile of an imperial russian stout. The bitterness is not overwhelming, but be warned it is pretty powerful. Keir (183) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 22, 2014
Bottle from kbudd. Thanks Kevin. Black with no head. Heavy coffee nose. A bit of chocolate and roasted malt. Tastes of coffee, sweet chocolate, roasted malt, a hint of bitterness on the back end. Oily mouthfeel. This has been in the fridge since RBSG and has held up nicely.

Sampled during RBSG. From notes. Coffee, chocolate and caramel dominates. Some odd green coffee thing in there too. Gerbeer (3793) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 25, 2014
341 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of dark chocolate, coconut, and heavily roasted malts. Flavors of watery black coffee, bitter acidic nuts, and roasted barley. A little metallic.

I would live in the Yukon just because of this beer. Pour black with a very small tan head. Aroma is of big coffee and roasted barley. Tastes of coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted barley. Has a medium body with low carbonation. I found it kind of dry, but smooth as well with a great espresso aftertaste. Perfect for dessert. Wowie! A new brewery, a new province/territory and a damn fine beer all in one? Rare as, mate! From the get go after one whiff, I knew I was in for a good time. A huge and hearty blast of rich smelling, smooth dark roast coffee mingles with chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, smoke and burnt toffee. The blackest liquid rests beneath a thin tan head that laces lusciously. Once you get this beast in your yap you realize you get to taste everything you just smelled and the oily, full body and mildly warming booze will keep you powered through a Winter cruel.
