COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hearty northern people love a hearty stout beer. We’ve teamed up wtih Yukon’s famous Midnight Sun Coffee Roaster to create this special blend. Originally developed for "Bean Queen" Zola Dore in a small batch kettle system by Yukoner Mitt Stehelin, we’ve retained the artisan qualities of this unique, unfiltered brew. The robust taste of this hearty stout starts with the smooth glide of real espresso and finishes with a dry chocolatey malt flavour. Why the big bottle? You’ll love it so much, you’ll want to share it with a friend, or not!

Bottled thx to Julien @ Julien’s neighbour is a metalhead according to Rob-tasting, small sample. Dark brown color, short frothy head. Aroma of coffee, dark malts, mocha. Slight sweet, medium bitter. Love the coffee and chocolate combination in this one. Great beer.

Bottle from kbudd19- thanks again, Kevin! Pours a deep, pretty much opaque midnight color with a small beige head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Aroma of espresso, of course, with roasted malts, gritty earth, bark, and chalky chocolate. The flavor starts and finishes with espresso, with earth, roast, wet leaves- disappoints, but the finish is nice. Light-bodied, with no carbonation and a flat, thin, watered-down mouthfeel accented by roastiness. Maybe not a great bottle or maybe past its prime, because it seems like there’s something in there with potential. I guess I’ll just have to drive up to Whitehorse and try it fresh on tap.

Huge coffee aroma, and a nice bitterness with some sweetness. Not overly sweet, also not very smooth, missing the creamy aspect of it. For the rest, maybe a bit too much coffee...

DomD (306) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - JUL 18, 2014
Poured from bottle. Great aroma of coffee and chocolate. Pours black with minimal tan head. Medium bitter taste. Full bodied, creamy texture, with soft carbonation. Overall an excellent stout that does is just bitter enough, well balanced.

Bottle shared by Kevin, thanks! Pours a clear amber brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of roasted malts and earthy dark grain with some earthiness. Flavor has musty dark grains and roasted malts with an earthy chocolate note.
