A Mes rate: Bottle from Wine of Course. Not at all on a par with their rest of their stock by any means. Metalic, just vaguely hoppy and it all comes to a sticky end. Yum...

This tasted like chewing on aspirin. That’s a bad thing. Almost comical how bad it was.

gunnfryd (15490) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 8, 2006
Bottle at RBESG-06, GTN. Pale golden colour with a white head. Aroma is hay , fruit, malt. Flavour is malt, fruit, hay.

GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - OCT 6, 2006
Pours pale gold w/ a shallow pritzy froth. Smells like malted sugar cookies. Medium nectar w/ soft residual effers. Flavors are fruity w/ an aged, old world cereal thing going on. Very different. Very malty w/ a skunky hop that comes on quick thru to the finish. Finish has a fruity bittering.

2.5
Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 6, 2006
Yellow colored, little vanishing white head. Buttery aroma with sweetness and slight hops. Medium bodied. Flavor is crispy with mild carbonation, hops and butter also come up with slight fruity tones. Aftertaste has good hops with lasting bitterness and lemon. Not very balanced beer with this strong butterness, still ok hopped lager. Should almost be pilsner.

yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 1, 2006
Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. Clear, pale golden with a white head. Grains and hay in the aroma. The flavor is a bit more malty, with grains as well. Thin body and a fruity finish with a decent bitterness. (060826)

ElGaucho (2401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - SEP 15, 2006
My first Bulgarian beer. Purchased as part of multiple international beers to recognize the different nationalities of the people in my team at work. Dark gold body with not much head. Off white ring. No visible carbonation. Clear body. Nice lace. Consumed in a plastic cup that was not see-through. Lace stuck to glass, but this was perhaps aided by the rings in the side of the cup. Strong dry lager. Has a Euro flavor. Some dry hops. One of the better international lagers I’ve had.
