500ml bottle. Orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is cereal, corn, sweet and grain. A light bodied pale lager. Malts are bread and sweet. Touch of hops in there somewhere. Its watery bland and sweet. It tastes for lack of a better descriptor, like a bowl of corn flakes, a plasticy bowl of cornflakes. At least there is no green bottle flavors. OK I will admit I only bought this beer to add Bulgaria to my country list. NEXT. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and a little astringent.

Pours a typical pale lager color. Aroma is sweet and grainy. Some skunk and acidity as well. Very watery flavor. Some bad grain flavor and a lovely generic corn flakes aftertaste. Reminds me of an NA.

Bottle Clear amber with small white head. Small aroma and flavor with small bitter finish. First and last visit with a Bulgairian brew.

Bottle. It looks nice. That is where it ends. Actually my first taste of this beast wasnt half bad. Probably still too cold from the fridge. Indeed skunky, lightstruck hop aroma. Nice golden color with a dense white head. Great lacing. Taste which was initially decent while frigid turns for the worse as the beer warms bringing out undesireable flavors of sickly sweetness, and for the first time I have truly tasted a metallic taste. While exciting for the memory banks it doesnt fit well for beer. Pass.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2006 This is my 886th rating, and it will be another 885 ratings before I try another beer from Bulgaria. (Im sure theres lots of swell people there, but this has soured me on the place!) Looks fine, golden with a tall sudsy head, but it reeks like a bratwurst in the sun. The flavor is both sweet and dirty and the carbonation pricks the throat like needles. The aftertaste is a metallic bitterness (robo-hopping?) blended with moldy bread. I killed a bottle of Listerine getting the taste out of my mouth.

Pours clear straw. White foamy head. Skunky aroma and finish, but the pre-swallow flavor is light malt liquor. I had low expectations, and Zagorka delivered. I have no idea why this beer is available at Surdyks, but I cant get a bottle of Three Floyds Russian Imperial Stout to save my live.

500 ml bottle shared with my brother this frigid Xmas eve...clear light gold with lots of tiny bubbles, thick diminishing white head...SKUNK! is all you get in the aroma...sweetish flavor, almost cloying, some earthy malt barely detectable, skunky/pungent weirdness towards the end...reasonably full body, low carbonation, some metallic bitterness. Not impressed with the Bulgarian beer scene thus far...

An orange beer with a diappearing white head. The aroma is hoppy, slighlty sour with hints of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty, nicely hoppy, slightly sour, and with a thin body.

Golden color with no head. The taste is malty with light earthy notes. Has a light sharp bitter finish.
