Piss yellow, very skunky with a bad aftertaste. One of the worst beers I’ve ever had. Bov (13221) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 1, 2005
clear and bright golden colour, fine stable head leaving a nice lacing; a shy aromatic hoppiness in the nose and a touch of paperboard; a respectable malt body and a creamy mouthfeel, a hint of bitterness before a moderate herbal finish - boring sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 5, 2005
(Bottled, BBE 06/2006) Clear, golden color with a smallish but lasting head. A basic Nothern-German-pilsener aroma with moderate, flowery hoppiness and some sweet maltiness. Quite sweet, malty and flowery flavor with hints of honey and reasonable hop content. Light to medium-bodied, sweet but not nearly cloying palate with some acidity and balanced carbonation. An easily drinkable, quite pleasant and hoppy lager, which seems very underrated here. At least it’s way better than the Koff Red I just had :) mustangjoe (183) - redondo beach, California, USA - SEP 5, 2005
Bottle. Pale yellow with a small white head that looked good but didn’t last too long. The aroma was slightly skunky, (thank you green bottle), and a slight smell of hops. The taste wasn’t too bad, a little bit of hops, but certainly nothing to bring me back and have another one. bb (9697) - Alamo, California, USA - SEP 3, 2005
Bottle. Pale amber with a white head. Light spice aroma. Malt and some floral/nerbal qualities to the flavor. Fairly clean. Easy to drink.

500 ml bottle from BevMo. Pours clear light amber with a small white head that quickly diminished to a thin ring of bubbles. Light aroma of soapy malts and dominant floral hops. Unimpressive, unbalanced flavor, watery, lightly malty with a sharp, metallic-citric hop character and a lingering citric aftertaste. Light body and foamy carbonation. Like the last rater, I bought this one strictly to add Bulgaria to my country list. But I guess that I didn’t really expect much from a Bulgarian pale lager. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - JUL 17, 2005
500ml bottle. Orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is cereal, corn, sweet and grain. A light bodied pale lager. Malts are bread and sweet. Touch of hops in there somewhere. Its watery bland and sweet. It tastes for lack of a better descriptor, like a bowl of corn flakes, a plasticy bowl of cornflakes. At least there is no green bottle flavors. OK I will admit I only bought this beer to add Bulgaria to my country list…. NEXT…. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and a little astringent.
