UPDATED: SEP 5, 2008 Draught at Vinarna Hrozen, Pilsen. Hazy amber, beige small head. Aroma of hay and cramel. Medium sweet with wonderfully soft vital and relaxed mouthfeel. Medium bodied with lots of green hops and some caramelized sugar. Finishes with long herbal bitterness. Almost superb in every aspect! Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - MAR 20, 2008
draught at Vonarna U vestonickeho venouse in Prague. Amber colour, slightly hazy, large and very creamy head. Full-bodied, very malty with hints of caramel and roasted malt. A tiny touch of fruit is also present. Hoppy and dry in the finish. A very well-balanced Vienna - heavenly! jonas (7581) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - AUG 13, 2009
RBESG08. Cloudy red amber, creamy golden head. Light bready nose. Fruity, light bready, good balance. Chewy, good mouthfeel. Marko (5711) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 1, 2008
UPDATED: JUL 2, 2008 No.9 at the Vinarna Hrozen RBESG tasting. There was a bit of a mix up between this and the no.8, but I’m pretty sure that I’m rating the right thing. Poured a amber-orange, slightly brownish colour with no head when I got to it. Eggy and barnyardy aroma. The taste was better than expected. A nice fruity maltiness, passionfruit, and a nice all-round hopiness (and something). A hoppy aftertaste. Liked it motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - AUG 2, 2007

Draught. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is malts, hops, some grass and fruitishly yeasty hints. Flavour is malts, caramel, sour wood and some yeast in a very nice balance. Ends in a nice bitterness. bager (2120) - Copenhagen N, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2008
From tap @ Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen. Semi clear and amber coloured with a medium sized head. Quite well balanced with notes of malt, caramel, bread and grain. ElDesmadre (3627) - Mikołów, POLAND - OCT 17, 2013
Draught at Klub Malych Pivovaru, as Bratcice Sklepak 13% Polotmave (after the relocation, Oslavany beers are now Bratcice beers). Deep, light toasted maltiness balanced by light hops. Clean profile, thickish and very soft mouthfeel. Very sessionable brew. Ungstrup (37611) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 20, 2008
Draft at Vinarna Hrozen during RBESG 2007. A hazy amber beer with a thick orangey head. THe aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and straw, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry bitter finish. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 11, 2013
My Bottom Line:
This velvety Polotmava shares lots of yeasty aromas atop herbal hops and caramel malts.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A super creamy, thick head of foam covers the cloudy dark amber.
-This might not be a refined example, but it is comfy and flavorful.
-Light fruitiness is found. With the yeasty touch, it points towards short lagering...
-Mouthfeel is very rich and creamy. As if a touch of nitrogen was used to carbonate the beer...
On tap at the brewpub.
