Watery sweet stinky lager aroma. Pale, brief head. Sweetish pale malts. Watery palate, a bit fizzy. Thin acrid bitter hop extract bitterness. Very nasty lager.
Aroma of noble hop and more than expected malt. More of a German pilsener? Slightly orange tinged golden color with a white head that ringed. Medium body with moderate, near creamy, carbonation. Flavor starts sweet, balanced by bitter. I’d say noble hop. Agree it is a bit bready. The finish is lightly sweet, quickly dropping to persisting bitter. Perhaps a slight sour note in the top of the mouth at the end. Good beer, but seems a whit more German than Bohemian. djd07 (15356) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 6, 2009
Bottle as shown. Pours a pale golden color with a medium white head that diminishes rather quickly. The aroma is a skunk malt with yeast and dough. Decent spotty lacing on the glass. The taste is watery sweet malt with wheat and a bitter finish. Not too much going on with this pils from Zatecky.
