Shared bottle courtesy of gunnar. Pours clear mahogany with a white, creamy head leaving fair lacing. Toffee, dark caramel sauce on the nose. Butterscotch in the mouth, light acidic, light sweet and light bitter flavors. Smooth and light syrupy. Medium body. Dry finish.

Pours a dark brown color with a ring of offwhite lace. Aroma and flavor of roasted malt and fruits with some sweetness. The palate is light and creamy and is prickled by lively carbonation. Kind of boring, a bit of this a bit of that but not enough to keep a beer geek interested.

armando629 (2456) - Budapest, HUNGARY - NOV 16, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2009 Easy drinkable czech dunkel(rather dunkel) beer. Semi dark body with a tan head. Light roasted aroma, some caramel and cocoa. Moderated body, roasted flavor, cocoa and sourish yeast taste with a fine toasty caramel. I’ve tasted it again, called Zatec Premium Tmave. Fine, easy but delicious.

Choc nutty aroma. Black with a brown head. Chocolate sweet though balanced. Bit of vanilla and coffee too. Smooth medium-full. Nice.

Csapolva a "3. Cseh Sörfesztivál"-on. Színe sötétbarna, finom pórusú habja bézs színű. Illata élesztős, karamellás. Íze ugyanaz, aromája pörkölt és karamell malátás, befejezése a legjobb, mely kávés/étcsokoládésan kesernyés. Összességében, nem rossz.

angelkostvo (1247) - CZECH REPUBLIC - JUL 15, 2013
Brown color with small off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, smoke note a bit caramel. Taste is light sweet, slight metalic flavor. Light body, thin to oily texture, lively carbonation. Good for the price.

mattphilips (801) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 25, 2012

auvajs (144) - Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC - JUL 3, 2011
Bottle from Pivní galerie. Black color with orange head. Good dunkel (or schwarzbier? what’s the difference?) but inclination towards sourness. I like Herold more.
