Roggen in German means ‘Rye’ so this means RyeRye. Roggenbier is a unique German style that uses Hefe Weizen yeast, but replaces the Wheat (Weizen) with Rye (Roggen). The unique Banan, Clove, Vanilla flavors of Weizen still apply with the addition of herbal backbone, reminiscent of Rye bread. Cloudy in completion, mildly hopped. Unlike Rye IPAs, this beer has plenty of Ry character.
