Bottle. Pours a black body, with a rich brown head that stays fully in my glass. Not much in the arma, very faint, nots of coffee. Taste is different in any way. A festival of coffee, rosted matls, then caramel, nuts, awesome, for a greek brewery. Medium carbonation, heavy body, oily texture. It’s something more than a good try for this brewery. It’s a very good beer.

330 ml bottle at home. Clear dark brown color with light beige head. Roasted malty aroma, grainy, hay, bread, some coffee and chocolate notes, licorice, caramel. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Light to medium thin to oily body with average carbonation.

Borresteijn (7346) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 1, 2016
50cl Bottle from Kava liquor store, just outside Ermoupolis city center. Clear amber-brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of toast, some burnt caramel, pecan nuts, maple syrup, hint of liquorice and roast. Flavour is medium sweet, toast, roast, nuts, some caramel, some artificial sweetness, light bitter finish. Light bodied. OK - ish.

Bottle 0.5l. Brown body, medium off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits, cherries, nougat. Taste is empty, neutral with bitter finish. Metallic tones, dirty water. Light body, medium carbonation.
Really bad one. Ok aroma, but flavor and palate terrible.

500 ml bottle. BB 10/2015. (Cava Π) Athens, Greece. Not called Black Mak but Black. Dark reddish brown colour with a small tan head. Liquorice, dry roasted malt, mild black coffee and mild caramel sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is mild toasted malt, milky sourness, mild grainy dryness and liquorice. Thin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A lot worst than the unpasterized one. More a soft drink less a beer. I drunk only a halfe glass. I could not continue with this one.

Derek881 (1272) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 31, 2014
Poured a bottle of this beer into a pint glass to drink at a Greek restaurant in Tarpon Springs, FL. The beer had a dark brown-black color, with a touch of visibility, and a deep brown hue with a very large, foamy tan head with very good retention, above average lacing, and average cling. Its aroma had a blend of earthy and grainy hops mixed with toffee, molasses, and caramel, and a touch of chocolate. The beer had a sweet malty and toffee flavor with notes of chocolate and caramel and a slighter bitter grainy touch. The body was wet with low-to-average carbonation, and was light-to-average in character and mouthfeel.

[email protected] Deep coppery brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is soapy, mild nutty and sappy notes. Flavour is big time saccharine, sweeness with mild toasted and roasted notes. Interesing, but too sweet and somehow artificial thanks to the saccharine.

laiti (8505) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 3, 2014
50 cl bottle @ wPBF’14, BBE 05/2014
Aroma feels unclean with sugar, syrupy tones - feels like kotikalja. Flavour is oversweet with sugar, syrupy tones and some cocoa. Feels artifical. Like some cheap east European ’dunkel’.
