Growler share with Doug. Mine was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a semi-burnt orange close to brown color. Slim messy lacing after the little cap of a white head dissipates. The aroma starts off with some bready and roasty to nutty sweetness. Dosed with some citrus hops, a nice bitterness comes in for a good balance. The flavor was basically the same as the aroma. Nutty roasty malty aftertaste with the same sort of finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation feels good for the style and for me. Dry semi-sweet crispness rolling over my tongue. Overall, really nice American styled brown ale that I would have again.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear brown with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt and floral hops. Flavor brings out more roasted malt, also light citrus and floral hops and sweet malt. Pretty good brown ale actually. 7/4/7/4/14 [3.6/5]

On tap at American Flatbread. Pours a clear ruby and copper brown with a medium sized sticky beige head. A bit of soy sauce on the nose, malty and caramel sweet, toffee. Medium bodied, nice caramel tones, but a bit toward oxidized. Finishes up with more sweet lingering caramel and a touch of balancing bitterness.

On-tap in Burlington. Nice light brown color, medium body. Very flavorful, along the lines of a Sam Smith’s... great session brew. I was pleased with this one. Great with the smoky pizzas (flatbreads) sold here.

Draft at the brewpub. A mild malt aroma. Orange-brown body, tan head. Smooth mild caramel flavor, quite unassertive. Very light finish.
