A golden ale with a thin white head. A light banana and clove aroma. In mouth, a rather light yet pleasing saison, with bananas, cloves and light berries. Light bodied. On tap at brewpub Oct. 10 2008. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - OCT 10, 2007

Pouring at BBF in Boston. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Soft lemon and musk, wheat. Medium-bodied musk, lemon and more wheat. Cool and faintly herbal, musk and yeast on the finish. Easy drinking and rather tasty. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2008
Pale golden beer. Aroma of bubble gum, light clove and a nice crisp Belgian malt base. Very similar to the tripel, but a bit more minty and a more prominent spicy hoppiness. Lean and crisp with a bit of fruitiness. Some cherry and a light berryish character. Crisp and dry on the finish. Lovely. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 10, 2007
Slightly cloudy blonde body topped by a small white ring of foam. Shy nose. Light citrus flavour in a watery body with a lemon twist. A little floury yeast dries out the experience. The only interesting aspect of the beer was what seemed to be a decent dry-hopping giving the beer a distant farmhouse aroma and a pleasant juicy citrus flavour. Light, refreshing, not very flavourful and not very Saison to me. Well brewed but forgettable. Some beers get compliments for having the alcohol well hidden. In the case of Flatbread beers it’s the alcohol percentage that is well hidden.

Tap served in a tulip at the brewpub - a fairly safe saison - slightly cloudy golden straw color - light floral, potpourri-ish aroma, with notes of lavender and some crisp, grassy hops - soft carbonation - somewhat grainy and quite dry and earthy, with notes of wildflowers and a touch of honey near the end - lacking the complexity and "umph" of better saisons, but tasty for the summer months. On tap at Prohibition Pig. Pours a clear golden. Nose is faintly spicy with mild citrus notes. Flavor is similar. No flaws and a good saison profile, but needed something extra to take it to the next level. muzzlehatch (4958) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 21, 2007
Draught pint at the brewpub, July 3 2007. Lightly hazy pale gold with a bit of lasting head, faint lacing....quite dry earthy, loamy and slightly herbal aroma, faint hints of orangepeel and honey.....body is quite dry, alcohol is apparent though appropriate for the weight (7% I think?), some mineralic and chalky/salty notes....alcohol comes out more at the finish; on the thin side. This is even drier and dustier than Paul’s previous saison (Wilson’s Plover), more "summery" I suppose, but in this case the lighter body mostly accents the slightly overdone mineral notes. Still quite nice, all in all. Reynolds314 (3441) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 26, 2012
Draft at Blackback. Interesting beer thats a bit to clean for my tastes in saisons. The Citra adds a nice fresh citrus/dankness to the beer but the base saison is a little watery and bland. Still nice and drinkable.
