COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our single-hopped Wheat IPA. This beer was launched as part of our I.P.April– a month long celebration of hoppy brews–and we decided to brew it with a different hop each year. Until we brewed it with Citra and then, well, we never turned back. Completely satisfyingly awesome in its crispiness and over-all well-rounded hopaliciousness. This beer might just be your Rushmore.

APPEARANCE- golden yellow color that is fairly turbid. Not much head to speak of, but initial lacing is nice. NOSE- a little light for a typical IPA - that is to say it’s not overpowering. Tropical fruit is most prevelant, perhaps mango. FLAVOR- some hop flavor (also slightly fruity) at front of sip, a nice amount of maltiness comes through near the end.

Can pour hazy avg gold with thin white head. Nose big resin, tropical fruit, wet hop aromas. Taste grassy and resin first, then moderate bitter. Just a hint of grainy wheat late palate. Great aromatic and flavoring hop.

Can: Poured a light amber color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fresh citrusy hops notes is enticing. Taste is a nice mix of fresh citrusy hops notes with some light residual sugar notes and faint wheat malt with a smooth dry finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable though Citra hops could have been even more prominent.

On tap @ American Flatbread. Cloudy golden-orange beer with a sticky white head. Really smells great. A huge pineapple and grapefruit aroma with some notes of peach, herbs, and pine. There’s some moderate bitterness of lemon and grapefruit peel along with the pine. Maybe a touch too much malt flavor and sweetness for me, but there is a really nice hop character of citrus, herbs, and stone fruits. Probably my favorite of the house beers I tried.
