On tap at Vermont Tap House, Williston, VT. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a black color with a thin bar pours white foamy head. Light lacing. The smell had sweet dark and milk chocolate, dark fruits, robust coffee beans. The taste took the previously mentioned flavors and combined wonderfully. Really nice rich thick sweetness from the combination all around. Nice chocolate covered dark fruity aftertaste runs into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionable to sipping quality. Carbonation runs light. Bitter to roastiness hits on the tongue nicely. Overall, this one was a nice foreign/extra stout that I could have again.

Half pour on tap at the brewpub. Nice dark brown almost completely black pour with rich tan head. Aroma is really quite smoky, lots of chocolate, burnt grain, light ash. Taste is bitter, cocoa powder, lots of roast, dark roast coffee, something slightly burned/ashy. Palate is med bodied, quite dry, strong effervescence. Decent.

6 oz. pour @ the brew pub. Deep dark black with light brown small head. Some spotty lacing. Coffee and chocolate nose. Taste is semi-sweet chocolate, light coffee nuances and just a very light trace of dark fruit. Texture is mildly creamy. Carbonation is just as it should be. Finish has a very light bitterness. Solid brew.

On tap at the source. Pours a solid black color with a creamy tan head that sticks lots of lace on the side of the glass. Smells roasty and chocolaty with hints of caramel and earthy hops. Taste follows the smell to a tee. My wife reminded me that I took the first sip and said damn thats good. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a smooth slick mouthfeel. That is a nice stout!
