Draft at brewpub, Dark brown color, medium brown head, chocolate aroma. Very well balanced chocolate/roasted malt flavor. A little on the sdweet side with a nice light bitter finish. I enjoyed it.
Can. Pours opaque dark brown with large foamy beige head, sweet mocha aroma, low carbonation, sweetish mocha taste, thick, smooth body, long finish. A nice, smooth stout. malrubius (3086) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - JAN 1, 2018
Can from Brewfest. Dark brawn with ring. Roasted chocolate fig cookie dough aroma. Sweet with roasted dark chocolate and fruity fig. Light woody fruity bitterness with a little bite in fruit finish. Medium-light body lively internal carbo. Too fruity for my tastes the light tartness overwhelmed the roasty richness. Not a favorite style of mine either. kaser (6430) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 29, 2017
Black with tan sticky head. Creamy cocoa chocolate and milky. Love it. Had this on draft as part of a flight at Zero Gravity brewery in Burlington. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - MAY 4, 2017
on tap at the source, clean right and roasty. Aroma is roasted malts, wood, chocolate. Light and light-bodied. Clean roast finish with some caramel sweetness. Bulk_Carrier (6064) - Vermont, USA - FEB 25, 2016
On tap at Vermont Tap House, Williston, VT.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a black color with a thin bar pour’s white foamy head. Light lacing.
The smell had sweet dark and milk chocolate, dark fruits, robust coffee beans.
The taste took the previously mentioned flavors and combined wonderfully. Really nice rich thick sweetness from the combination all around. Nice chocolate covered dark fruity aftertaste runs into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionable to sipping quality. Carbonation runs light. Bitter to roastiness hits on the tongue nicely.
Overall, this one was a nice foreign/extra stout that I could have again.

Half pour on tap at the brewpub. Nice dark brown almost completely black pour with rich tan head. Aroma is really quite smoky, lots of chocolate, burnt grain, light ash. Taste is bitter, cocoa powder, lots of roast, dark roast coffee, something slightly burned/ashy. Palate is med bodied, quite dry, strong effervescence. Decent. 6 oz. pour @ the brew pub. Deep dark black with light brown small head. Some spotty lacing. Coffee and chocolate nose. Taste is semi-sweet chocolate, light coffee nuances and just a very light trace of dark fruit. Texture is mildly creamy. Carbonation is just as it should be. Finish has a very light bitterness. Solid brew. mikem409 (2032) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - AUG 17, 2012

On tap at the source.
Pours a solid black color with a creamy tan head that sticks lots of lace on the side of the glass. Smells roasty and chocolaty with hints of caramel and earthy hops. Taste follows the smell to a tee. My wife reminded me that I took the first sip and said damn that’s good. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a smooth slick mouthfeel. That is a nice stout! burg326 (5630) - Florida, USA - FEB 23, 2012
On draft at brewery, poured a dark brown, almost black color with aromas of coffee, and milk chocolate. Flavors are sweet lactose, and burnt coffee with a hint of chocolate.
