Draft at the brewpub. Golden and American all the way, this is a well balanced and utterly drinkable APA ... fully flavored malt, subtle but evident citrus hop. Delicious, definitely sessionable/chuggable. (#5811, 10/9/2014)

Tap. Pours hazy butterscotch, small creamy white head, good lacing. Aroma is faint, mostly pine, some passion fruit. Flavor is light sweet, pine, leaves, biscuit, light bitter. Lacking the tropical lunch i expect from nz hops. Lightish body. Ok.

(3 avril 2013)

In short: A clean and tasty grapefruity/tropical pale ale Very good.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Clear orange body topped by a small white head.<b/> In long: The medium-hoppy nose is mostly tropical fruits with also some lighter herbal/coniferous notes. Taste is super crisp toasted cereals, a tiny bit of caramel+honey, juicy Ruby Red grapefruits, tropical fruits, light hops resin notes. Assertive and sharp bitterness. A very clean Pale Ale that is as tasty as it is refreshing and easy to drink. Straightforward but very well made, a superior example of what the new breed of APA can offer. People say I have a serious problem because I love to close my eyes and take my time to enjoy a nice grapefruity aroma but when I open my eyes and realize I’m not smelling a beer but I’m in fact smelling an actual grapefruit I get banned from the grocery store after throwing a fit and trashing their entire fruits section.

Pint shared two ways.
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with small foamy head. Some lacing.
Aroma : Floral and fruity hops with nice malt. Light resinous notes. Fairly restrained but well balanced.
Taste : Citrusy and fruity hops with floral notes. Finish is nicely floral with delicate fruits. Light bitterness with light malt all along.
Palate : Carbonation is a bit too aggressive
Overall : Quite good. Hopyness is a bit light for the style but not all APA needs to be packed with dry hop. Quite elegant overall. Nice malt. A bit more hops on taste than nose. Overall quite good even if not a big hop bomb (which it’s clearly not trying to be).

My Bottom Line :
Tropical fruit branch out into lengthy resinous hop bitterness, while svelte honeyed malt flavors diversify this crisp New World Pale Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam tops the misty honeyed blond.
-This is drier than the average APA, which seems to let the hops express themselves even more.
-Drinkability is quite high despite the hop intensity.
-Carbonation is pretty bubbly (artificial), like all Flatbread brews.

On tap at the brewpub.

On tap at the source... Pours a mostly clear cidwray copper orange and topped with a creamy light head... Mild citrus and grains. Nothing too unique ... Grassy citrus, semi-sweet with a light bitterness. Not an overwhelming sense of the nelson portrayed in this. medium bodied or just shy of. Just ok.
