(Rating #2354)

EBF. Pours a golden body whit a white head. Citrus, and some pepper with a tangy carbonation. Floral notes and more peppercorn to finish. A good brew.

EBF Session 1. Lightly hazy golden in color with nice white head. Aroma of saison yeast, light citrus and banana. Taste has saison yeast: citrus, lightly spicy, a light honey sweetness. Crisp, light to medium bodied, a nice easy drinking saison. SOme light flowery hops in the flavor. Mild hop bitterness in the finish. Seems like saison is the favorite style of the brewer at Flatbread, they always seem to have one available.

In short: A basic but very effective semi-wild blonde Saison. Highly drinkable but nothing stands out.
How: Tap at Boston Extreme Beer Fest 2009
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a large white head
In long: A soft chewy neutral malt base that tasted like crust-less white bread. Yeast brings a good wilderness feeling, this is unmistakably a Saison. Fruity flavours of bananas and pineapples. Some citric hops. A little lemony tartness. Supposed to be made with peppercorns but I didn’t get much of it. A good semi-wild session beer. ”Hello honey I’m home, sorry I’m late for diner, I had many Reunions today with the executive board. Burp.”
