Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt orange almost amber color with a nice transparency about it. Sly carbonation runs steadily up. Foamy finger’s worth of white head. Dissipates nice and even. Moderate lace.
The aroma picks up a sly malted biscuity sweetness rolling on into some light earthy to grassy hops. Sly butter-ed honey underneath.
The flavor yields to the malts crisp and sweet, subtle grassy hops come back to balance or try to at least. Biscuity malty aftertaste rubbing against the finish appropriately.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Good fairly low carbonation. Mild malty smoothness.
Overall, good ESB for the most part. I’d be willing to have again. JulienHuxley (5848) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 31, 2015
On tap at the brewpub. Clear gold-amber pour with white head. Aroma is malty, bready toasty malt notes, lots of caramel, light woody hop profile, just a touch of pine. Taste of honeyed malt, honey, caramel, sweet maltiness. Palate is overall rather dry, med-light bodied with light carbonation. Decent. bigda83 (854) - Jamestown, New York, USA - JUL 14, 2015
Draft at the source. Poured a clear Amber color with small tan bubbly head. Aroma is mild and mainly bready with pale malts. Flavor was bready, lemon, and bitter. Light body, thin texture, lively carbonation, and bitter finish. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 7, 2014

2013-04-27. Crisp dark golden amber body. Small off white head and lace. 3+ Aroma of modest hops, slightly odd English meets American hops. A not quite tangy quality to it. Flavour is similar, modest bitterness, odd character to the hops. Average plus palate. Okay, did not really care for it overall. On tap at Blackback Pub, Waterbury. Draft Three Penny Tap Room. Pint glass displays a clear amber with low carbonation. Nose is really nothing but bread malt. Taste thankfully is better. Malt and hops are balanced just right. I find myself going to the ESB style more often after a strong night of drinking. Well, I.had a hard weekend of.drinking so.... This brew was nice and.east to drink on a Sunday afternoon. It’s decent if you want a mellow brew. Worth a try if you like the style. Lubiere (13991) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 30, 2012
