En fût. Verre de 12 oz chez American Flatbread (Burlington, VT). Arôme: Odeur de citron, d’ananas et d’épices. Apparence: La couleur est blonde voilée avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une large dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de citron et d’épices. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement minérale. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de zeste de citron en arrière goût. Tap: Poured a bright slightly hazy golden color ale with a nice medium size pure white head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of typical Belgian saison yeast is very interesting with some light floral hops presence. Taste was well balance between the typical lightly funky yeast with a nice malt bill with some medium sweet notes and a light floral hoppy finish. on tap at the brewpub. Lightly hazy golden in color with a medium white head, nice retention. Aroma of saison yeast- citrus, peppery, some musty basement with some pale malts in the background. Taste is nice and refreshing- pale/pils malt sweetness with citrus, pepper, and light yeasty musty basement. Some light hop bitterness in the finish. In long: Nose is slightly wild with strong notes of lemon light spiciness. Taste has a lots of tart fruits (pineapples and lemon mainly), some spicy notes, a lot of wheat, a little dough,
It doesn’t know if it wants to be a wild Saison or a refreshing Witbier. This is either an extra-refreshing Saison or a wild Witbier. Either way it’s very good. I don’t mind when a beer cannot make up its mind, it’s a beer not a woman, I don’t have to tell it that being a Saison suits it fine and being a wibier suits it fine too.

BCTC 2008. Tap at the American Flatbread tent at the brewers camp. Pours a hazed golden and nice white head. Aroma is lemon zest with lots of doughy crackery wheat and grain - turns to slight DMS and vegetal with some grass, phenols and fruity ester. Flavor is doughy cracker with cobweb hint, phenolic spicy, coriander, light banana and clove, zesty lemon and almost a lactic hint at the end to keep it tart- still some DMS vege. [BCTC 08] Poured a hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of earthy yeast, honey, some floral hops, and spices. Taste of pils malt, some tart, snappy wheat, toasted dough, light honey, some citrus, grass, pepper, and a lightly dry finish.
