On tap at Flatbread.
Opaque yellow orange with a thin white head. Earthy spicy with lots of clove and some light bready honey maltiness underneath. Decent but a little too much clove for my tastes. muzzlehatch (4969) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 23, 2007
Draught pint at the brewpub, February 2007. It pours a hazy, bright gold-yellow with a bit of lasting head (damn these pint glasses!)....orangepeel is the first whiff, then white pepper, coriander and very vague hints of ginger show up to color the expressive, lightly earthy and pungent nose....very, very dry on the tongue, highly carbonated, chalky-mineralic towards the finish, very light dried orange husk notes....with a few minutes’ warmth, enough sweetness arrives at the finish to mute the dry earthy attack and keep the hardness in check...very well done, very authentic dry saison, though there’s nothing really exciting about it.
