Tap at Zlý Časy. Black body, small beige head. Aroma of low intensity: roasted malrs, resiny, pines. Taste is bitter. Again roasted malts, resiny, dark fruits. Medium to full body, moderately carbonated.
Pleasantly roasted black ale.
on tap numerous times, most recently at francis in pilsen. very close to black with a lingering beige head; rich aroma of red berries, coffee cream, choc topping; plenty of bitterness as expected from zhurak, quite quick and dry with a light lactic edge; didn’t used to be one of my favourites from zhurak but i seem to like this more and more each time i try it hrabren (2047) - Zagreb, CROATIA - AUG 10, 2015
On tap at Francis, Retro Beer Bar, Plze?, Czech Republic. Milk chocolate, coffee, roasty. Smooth and silky, chocolate like mouthfeel, some coffee bitterness, very sophisticated. Medium body, light dry coffee finish with some chocolate sweetness. Excellent, but I’d say it’s an American stout, not India black ale.

Bottle(donated by the brewer!!!): Deep amber coloured with a reddish sheen, very stable off-white head, moderate to almost solid hoppy and roasty aroma; moderate - relatively dry - bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied, quite soft; slightly lingering fruity/toasty finish with a quite mild hoppy aftertaste. Nothing to complain… sic1314 (4773) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - NOV 8, 2013
In Bulovy Blesk. Poured a murky medium brown with a frothy off white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Medium body, quite carbonated. Flavour of the caramel malt and bitter coffee grinds. Not a bad beer, but couldn’t see much in the way of hops to make it an IPA...
