Purchased brown bottle from Fine Liquors in Mundelein, IL. Clear golden amber color with light nutty malt aroma. Small white head with fair lacing. Some carbonation. Light bodied. Dry palate that starts with a slight nutty malt flavor and finishes with moderate bitterness. Okay beer that good for washing down food and quenching thirst, but not for savoring.

Bottle. Aroma is weak and seems a little sweet with little malt baking or hops. Apearance is golden, small head. Weak watery flavor, a little sweet, no bitterness. Ughgh.

Seven Seas distributing. Aroma is vaguely floral. Light golden, cloudy hue. Mild in flavor, with a lasting effervescense in the mouth. Tart, puckering hop finish. More of a novelty with great packaging. For less than $2, itll do in a pinch.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a big white head. Aroma is actually pretty good. You get a nice malty aroma for a lager. Flavor is not as bad as some Eastern Euro brews. And no skunk! NIce malts and a wee bit of hops at the end make this a very suprising lager from Russia.

Hardly deserves a rating. Golden color with a thin white head. Lacing is almost nonexistent. Boring grainy flavor. At least it tastes fresh.

my notes(which are usually pretty hard to decipher around this point during a beer tasting) suggests this is not a very memorable beer. pale yellow color, slight head. grainy aroma, with very little flavor, and whats there is a bit sweet for me. a disappointing russian brew (ill stick with my baltika 3).

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2005 Pale and straw-colored with an airy, bubbly white head that vanishes quickly, this has the faintest of sweet grassy aromas. Its extremely light feeling in the mouth, as if it almost wasnt there. The taste is abouth the same, nearly non-existent, mildly sweet malt with plenty of corn and perhaps some honey. The finish was as clean as one could get. Thanks, dm9831.

Bottle. Sweet honey nose. Has a strong taste of honey and lemon zest. Has a finish similar to dirty dishwater. Sour aftertatse. Not horrid, but not great.
