UPDATED: FEB 29, 2012 Suprise of the year. It came in a boring green bottle, and I belived it would one of these tasteless very very light pale lagers. It had a lovely deep golden colour with a small white head. A mild malty nose. Also a fresh mild malty flavour with som well blended hops. Medium carbonation.

For my opinion one of the best Russian traditional beers, good light taste, good appearance, nice to drink in summertime...

Took a while to track the name of this beer down, but worth it. Pleasantly surprised at the overall drinkability of this Russian beer. A nice golden/coppr color with adeqaute head, and just enough sharp bitterness to make you take notice. Mild but pleasant smell also...one of the best Russian beers I’ve had.

Golden yellow colour. White head disappears quite quickly. Malts, grassy notes, grain in the aroma. Notes of grain, malts, hints of grass, slight bitterness in the taste. Slightly bitter, slightly grassy aftertaste. Light bodied, well drinkable lager.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2015 Draught. 500ml poured into a weizen glass at a Japanese restaurant. Clear gold with a medium creamy head. There is even a bit of lacing. Aroma of caramel, malt and some vanilla. Very easy drinking. This tastes a lot better than it did a few years ago.

larsga (7627) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 16, 2012
Medium white head. Coppery body. Caramelly sherry aroma with papery floral notes. Dry-sweet spicy caramelly grassy taste with grainy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish herbal caramelly grainy aftertaste with floral notes. Really nice. Completely unexpected that this should be such a high-quality brew. (0.33l bottle from some supermarket in Moscow.)
